I don't know if I'm back or if I've left for good. We'll see on how far this idea of making myself a website goes. Deviantart seems to have finished its time for me. Time to move on to something else.

It'll be too bad if you decide to stay away--dA needs more artists who a) do the kind of art that they like, not what's popular; and b) stand up for themselves and their art. For what it's worth, I just faved the "Spicer" piece; I don't have a clue who Jack Spicer is, but, after reading through your numerous replies and protests, I can't help but admire your energy in defending your position.
Do you know Henry James? He famously refused to write the prosaic stuff that would sell, preferring to write what he wanted to write. Sadly, people tend to flock to easy, recognizable stuff (e.g., mainstream fiction, fanart) rather than the new or unknown.
